VISUAL COMMUNICATIONS
DISCOVER THE WORLD OF VISUAL ARTS
Are you passionate about art, design, and digital media? Do you want to explore new technologies and learn how to communicate creatively through the media arts? Our Visual Communications program (VisCom) is a year-long course designed to teach the fundamentals of art, graphic design, and visual storytelling through hands-on projects and innovative technology.

Students work on real-world design projects, combining traditional art materials with cutting-edge tools like Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, scanners, and digital drawing tablets. Emphasis is placed on mastering the creative process, personal expression, and experimentation while developing skills that are essential in the art and design industries. Projects include designing CD covers, greeting cards, advertising and marketing materials, and apparel. Students will also explore and investigate careers in the arts, gaining valuable insight into professional opportunities in creative fields.

This program is ideal for students with an interest in art, a comfort with computers, and a willingness to experiment with digital and emerging technologies. A creative spirit and a desire to try new things are all you need to get started!
