Healthcare Careers and Certifications

Licensed Nursing Assistant (LNA)
This course is designed for adults seeking to start a rewarding career in healthcare. The course prepares you for Licensed Nurse Assistant (LNA) licensure with the Vermont State Board of Nursing and provides hands-on skills for immediate employment. Whether you are beginning your first career or making a change, this program offers a strong foundation for growth in the healthcare field.
START DATE: Tuesdays, September 1 - October 27, 2026
TIME: 4:30 - 8:00 pm
INDEPENDENT STUDY REQUIREMENT: 5 - 6 hours per week (independent and online)
CLINICALS: 32 hours (Oct. 28 - Nov. 7)
State Exam: TBD
TUITION: $2,438.50 (includes test and license fees)

Phlebotomy Technician (PTC)
Upon successful completion of this course, you will be eligible to sit for the national exam to become a Phlebotomy Technician (PTC) through the American Medical Certification Association. You must turn 18 years of age within 6 months of the exam.

Certified Clinical Medical Assistant (CCMA)
Upon successful completion of this course, you will be eligible to sit for the national exam to become a Certified Clinical Medical Assistant through the American Medical Certification Association. You must turn 18 years of age within 6 months of the exam.

CPR - First Aid - AED
Gain the skills and confidence to respond in an emergency with American Heart Association CPR, First Aid, and AED training. This hands-on course teaches you how to care for adults, children, and infants during breathing and cardiac emergencies, as well as how to provide basic first aid and use an automated external defibrillator (AED). Participants who successfully complete the course will receive AHA certification, valid for two years.

Skilled Trades and Technical Training

Introduction to Welding
Learn the fundamentals of welding in this hands-on introductory course. Students will gain experience with basic welding techniques, equipment safety, and proper use of tools, while practicing common welds in a workshop setting. No prior experience is required—this course is designed to build confidence and provide a strong foundation for further welding training. Limited class size – register early to reserve your spot.

Small Engine Repair
Learn the fundamentals of small engine repair for work, hobby, or personal use. This hands-on course combines classroom instruction with shop time, giving you the opportunity to practice skills while working on your own small engine project (with instructor approval). Topics include routine maintenance, troubleshooting and diagnostics, standard repair procedures, engine function, and proper tool use. Whether you’re maintaining equipment for home or business, this course provides practical skills you can put to use right away.
