PATRICIA A. HANNAFORD CAREER CENTER
ADDISON REPERTORY THEATRE (A.R.T.)
BECOME A THEATRE PERFORMER OR TECHNICIAN
Start your path to Broadway, whether you want to be in the spotlight or control it!

Do you thrive in creative environments with others, enjoy problem-solving, and possess a keen eye for detail? Do you love to perform, or want to gain more confidence in front of others? If so, then Vermont's only career technical education theatre arts program is for you!

This 2-year half-day program offers students an opportunity to create, run, and participate in a fully-functional theater company, either in the performance (AM) or technical (PM) track. Under the guidance of industry professionals, you'll learn stagecraft, lighting design, sound engineering, set construction, costume design, and get to perform on the stages you build.

Students will produce a fall and spring season of shows for presentation in schools, theaters, and public spaces throughout the county. The English portion of A.R.T. explores classical dramaturgical literature, as well as related fiction and non-fiction writings. Students will write journals, plays, conduct research, and complete a career and technical-ready portfolio.
Whether your passion lies in film, television, or live performance, the possibilities are endless with a solid foundation from the Addison Repertory Theatre — where imagination takes center stage.
