PATRICIA A. HANNAFORD CAREER CENTER
Vision and Mission
In the fall of 2019, a team of board members, staff and community members was convened to draft new vision and mission statements, in order to ensure that the Career Center of the Patricia A. Hannaford Regional Technical School District (PAHRTSD) continues to meet the needs of students now and in the future. The new vision and mission reflect the voices of students, staff and community members. We are pleased to be able to share the final outcome with our communities.

Vision Statement
We envision a career and technical center that empowers students to be inquisitive, caring and open-minded citizens of local, national and global communities, who engage as lifelong learners and understand and accept different viewpoints and perspectives.

Mission Statement
We provide students with rigorous, hands-on and classroom instruction, robust community partnerships, and project-based learning opportunities that empower and inspire them to build strong work habits, relevant, innovative technical skills, and a sense of personal responsibility as local, national and global citizens while ensuring equity for all participants.

Founded in 1971, the Patricia A. Hannaford Career Center offers programming for both high school and adult students of Addison County in Vermont. The majority of our high school students come from Middlebury, Mount Abraham, and Vergennes. We also enroll students from private schools and high schools in the greater region (Otter Valley, Rochester), as well as home-study students. Our adult programming offers personal and career enrichment with flexible evening and weekend hours, and abundant virtual offerings.
GLOBAL EXPERTISE, LOCAL RESULTS
Through a diversity of programs, cooperative work based learning experiences, and two Middlebury campus locations, Hannaford Career Center students work alongside former and current industry professionals to gain experience and broaden their capabilities to apply wherever they go next.
FIND YOUR TALENTS. DEVELOP YOUR SKILLS.
Our students can earn free college credits through dual enrollment, industry-recognized credentials, valuable on-the-job experience through cooperative education, and promote their work and abilities through award winning portfolios and professional competitions.
CAREER OR COLLEGE BOUND? WE CAN GET YOU THERE.
Each program is reviewed and endorsed by advisory councils comprised of current industry leaders and business owners in their profession. The Hannaford Career Center offers unique opportunities for both college and career- bound students.
