Foundations in Computer-Assisted Drafting & Design

This course is designed to introduce students to careers in computer-aided design. The course is taught utilizing a multi-disciplinary approach incorporating math, science, CAD systems, and design. Students will improve their understanding of mathematical and scientific concepts as they employ these concepts in a visual modality.

Organized around the Portfolio system and demonstration evaluation, assignments are sequential and challenging. This course can be used to link to other career and technical education programs such as Design and Fabrication, Construction Technology and Pre-Engineering/Architectural Drafting.

Taught as a one-semester, 80-minute course. There are two levels. One credit per semester.
