Technology

The Technology Academy consists of two foundational programs, Intro to Technology and Foundations of Engineering/Architecture, and four regular programs: Automotive Technology, Renewable Energy and Green Building, Industrial Design and Fabrication, and Architecture and Engineering Systems. The Intro to Technology program introduces students to careers in the automotive, construction and manufacturing industries through hands-on activities using a wide variety of equipment. Foundations of E/A introduces students to computer-aided design.

Automotive Technology is now located in our North Campus, which has greatly increased its lab space. Renewable Energy and GB now includes solar panel installation as part of the curriculum. Industrial Design is a creative program that focuses on producing a product using CNC equipment and other equipment found in the manufacturing industry. Architecture and Engineering Systems uses CAD software in the fall and students create blueprints of their dream homes in the Spring.
