Arts & Humanities
The Arts & Humanities Academy consists of a foundational program, Visual Communications, and three regular programs, Video Tech Arts, Addison Repertory Theater and NEW FOR 2010-2011: Design & Illustration.
Visual Communications is a graphic design-based program that also incorporates technology, still frame animation and art and design.
Addison Repertory Theater is actually two programs in one: Technical Theater students attend in the morning and Performance students attend in the afternoon. Video Tech Arts teaches students how to create movies from idea to finished product, using the software and tools that are common in the industry.
Design & Illustration is a one-year graphic design course focused on creativity, innovation and design. Through real-world projects, students explore careers in the arts while using industry-recognized software and equipment in addition to traditional art materials.
Opportunities to be members of National Arts Honor Society exist for students within these programs.
