Agriculture
Our Agriculture Academy has two foundational programs and four regular programs. The foundational programs consist of Plant & Animal Science and Mechanical Science. Our four regular programs are: Agribusiness Technology, Forestry & Natural Resources, Diesel Power Technology, and Sustainable Landscapes/Food Productions/Turf Management.
Agribusiness Technology focuses on running a business one year and the second year is focused on pre-veterinary education. Forestry & Natural Resources is a full-day program that focuses on wildlife management and water quality education in the fall, among other things, and sugaring, heavy equipment operation and logging in the spring. Diesel Power Technology has a new classroom and lab in our new North Campus building on Exchange Street. Diesel Power has an association with Vermont Technical College, whereby students may get college credit while still in high school. Sustainable Landscapes is a program for students interested in careers in landcaping, groundskeeping, agricultural food production.
