Agriculture Academy Council Meeting Wednesday, September 10, 2014 at 6:00 pm

The Agriculture Academy at Patricia A. Hannaford Career Center is holding the first advisory board meeting of the new 2014-15 school year on Wednesday September 10th at 6:00pm.

We will meet at the student run Deep Roots Farm at our North Campus location at 372 Mainelli Road, Middlebury.   You will find Mainelli Road off Exchange Street between the new Woodchuck Cider bldg. and Cabot plant.  The farm sits on the right at the lower end of Mainelli Road.

We are looking forward to showing off our new barn!  Framing, sides and roof are all up.  The west pasture is now enclosed with a beautiful perimeter fence.  We have still have our pigs purchased from Rob Hunt in W. Addison on site and 4 dozen chicks for egg production next spring.

Agenda items for this meeting:

  • Tour the farm facility and student activities
  • Introduce farm manager
  • New projects coming to the farm
  • Salsa and pesto made by our students!

We feel very fortunate to have you on board to support our agriculture program here in Addison County.  We are very proud of our work here and are considered a leading program in the state.

We’ll plan to be done by 7:30pm.
