Hannaford Career Center

Hannaford Career Center’s Student of the Month for October is Brittany Forbes. Brittany is enrolled in the second year of the Forestry and Natural Resources program. Through this program, Brittany has been certified in tractor safety and the Game of Logging, Levels 1 and 2.

Brittany is a member of FFA, a student organization affiliated with Hannaford Career Center’s agriculture programs. She is currently serving as treasurer of the Middlebury Chapter of FFA. As part of her FFA duties, Brittany has been a strong fundraiser, putting in additional work hours at the Addison County Field Days. In addition to her Hannaford Career Center activities, Brittany plays on the Middlebury Union High School softball team.

Next year, Brittany plans to attend college and major in Natural Resources, focusing on the business aspects. Congratulations, Brittany!

On Thursday, June 3rd, Hannaford Career Center celebrated another year by honoring our students completing programs, our seniors moving on, and a couple retiring educators. Bruce Perrault, owner of #1 Auto Parts, was the guest speaker, who gave excellent advice on preparing for an interview. Our retirees are: Rick St. Peter, our Engineering/Architectural Drafting instructor for the last 39 years, and Nancy Slater Cobden, our Adult Education Coordinator/Assistant Director.
